We are a Catholic organization that provides a group home for pregnant moms, their children and babies, while giving them the tools to get back on their feet and be a successful, strong parent.

We are seeking a dependable, committed woman to take care of infants and children while our moms are at work or school.
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic care and caregiving including diaper changing and feeding as well as potty training.
- Adhere with all safety regulations as established by official sources.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to ensure that the babies and children have a good start and encourage healthy intellectual and psychological growth.
- Train and supervise the children while motivating them to use their mental capacities and imagination.
- Preparing snacks and lunch.
- Cleaning the room at the end of the day to comply with COVID guidelines.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of, and comfort with babies including safety, feeding, diaper changing.
- A background in education to provide a stimulating environment for the children.
- The ability to teach new moms everything they need to know about their children’s care.
The ideal candidate:
- Loves to be around babies and helping to take care of them.
- Committed to the organization’s mission and appreciates having the opportunity to pray.
- Is able to lift at least 40 lbs, sit on the floor, bend and pick up children through the course of an 8-hour shift.
- Admits mistakes freely and openly and is looking to build a collaborative community.
- Respects their co-workers and the families we serve as valuable individuals.
- A driver’s license, vehicle insurance and a clean driving record.
- The ability to pass a criminal/child protection background check and drug test.
Qualifications:
- 8 to 10+ years caring for infants and toddlers and providing a nurturing, stimulating environment, preferably in a professional role, but very open to interviewing moms/grandmothers with extensive experience.
- The ability to teach new moms how to care for their children, both physically and intellectually.
- Because we are a women's shelter, we do need to hire a woman for this role.
