Please say hello to the beautiful baby girl Lucille who was born on Monday, October 1, 2018.  What a great way to kick off Respect Life Month!  Lucille did arrive a little early, but she was ready for her close up.  Lucille weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce.  She and her mom, Danielle did just great, but Lucille had to have a short stay in the NICU to clear up some breathing issues.  We find ourselves in a bit of a baby boom, and we wouldn't have it any other way.  Be sure to stay tuned for more baby news!

If you're keeping track, that's 1,137 babies born to the Good Counsel family! Lucille and all babies born into the Good Counsel family have been saved because of your faithful, prayerful support, and financial generosity.  Because of you, we never say no to any homeless, pregnant mother in need.  Because of you, there's always room for one more!

Our moms accomplish a lot while at Good Counsel.  While living at a Good Counsel home, house managers, case managers, staff, and volunteers all play a part in supporting and encouraging our moms to set goals and achieve them.  Moms participate in an array of Life Skills Classes with the goal of being ready for a new life outside of Good Counsel with a stable job and independence for themselves and their children.  With all that our moms have to do, childcare is an essential part of the mission of Good Counsel.  Knowing that their baby is in loving hands makes working toward and achieving their goals much easier.
