Just as Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it also serves as a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there is always the possibility of renewal and growth.
Life is filled with its own trials and tribulations, moments when we may feel overwhelmed by challenges or burdened by our own shortcomings. However, just as Jesus emerged from the tomb, triumphant over death, so too can we rise above our circumstances and emerge stronger and wiser.
Recently, a pregnant mother named Faith (real name) contacted us, expressing her fear of eviction due to falling behind on rent after losing her job. Despite attending numerous interviews, she remained unemployed. After our Intake Coordinator, Sabrina, confirmed her situation, Good Counsel stepped in and covered the overdue rent, allowing Faith to retain her apartment. With renewed stability, Faith was able to secure a job beginning on April 1 as a PreK teacher.
Without this assistance, where would Faith and her unborn child be? Would the weight of her worries have adversely affected the well-being of her precious baby growing inside of her? Thankfully, we do not have to answer those questions.
Please consider making a gift today so we may continue to help mothers like Faith. Your support does make a difference.
Wishing you and your family and blessed Easter Season.
