At Good Counsel, we are delighted to announce the arrival of two beautiful baby girls born in January, marking a joyous start to 2025. The girls are currently leading in our baby count!

On January 13, 2025, we welcomed Nyoni Malika in our Spring Valley home, and on January 29, 2025, Kadeja was born in our Bronx residence. These precious additions remind us of the gift of life and the importance of the work we do in supporting mothers in need.

Since our founding in 1985, Good Counsel has provided a nurturing environment for homeless, expectant, and new mothers. Over the years, we have assisted more than 8,200 mothers and children, offering them shelter, guidance, and a foundation for a brighter future.

In 2024, we celebrated 38 births across our four maternity homes, continuing the legacy of hope and transformation that defines our mission. Beyond providing shelter, we empower mothers through education and employment opportunities—54% of our residents since 2018 have advanced their education, and 86% have secured employment since 2023. These milestones highlight the resilience of the women we serve and the life-changing impact of our programs.

As we look ahead to 2025, we remain committed to supporting mothers in need and celebrating the new lives that enter our homes.
