Riverside home never fails to celebrate the special moments in life. So full of joy, house manager Dominique Coston always makes sure for Halloween the women and children in her home have full costumes, festive activities and plenty of good food and sweet treats to eat. This year was no different.

With 5 moms and 7 babies and toddlers, Dominique, her daughter and her staff, visited local trunk or treats and walked the sidewalks in Riverside trick or treating Sunday afternoon. These cuties and mostly first time trick or treaters were treated to an abundance of candy and attention from each house they visited, their joy infectious. And at the end of the day, Riverside home residents changed into comfy matching pajamas and snuggled up with their babies enjoying Halloween movies and popcorn.

This spirit of joy and celebration is what really makes our homes stand out. Moms in our homes have all the things they NEED to care for themselves and their children. But the extra love that Dominique, staff and volunteers put into their work makes life for our moms so much sweeter. Many women who come to us are estranged from their families and have no support system . So when they come to Good Counsel they find not just the necessities but a loving family who will be there for them in good times and bad.

Please enjoy the photos Dominique sent of their Halloween adventures. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more adorable photos and stories, but also for opportunities to help create memories for our moms and babies. With the holidays approaching, Dominique and our other 4 house managers have a lot they’re planning. Stay tuned and God bless!
