As we find ourselves in the midst of February, the second month of 2024, it brings me immense joy to share that we have already welcomed 10 beautiful babies into the world! What an extraordinary Baby Boom! In comparison to last year, where we averaged a baby per week, we are already surpassing those figures this year. Truly, the blessings abound, and we are deeply grateful for each new life.

Day by day, more mothers are discovering the invaluable assistance and hope that Good Counsel provides. More mothers are choosing life! More babies are being born and nurtured by the compassionate hands of our dedicated staff. Moreover, more women are finding the support and encouragement they need to forge a brighter future for themselves and their children. It is a testament to the abundance of God's grace, and we offer our heartfelt thanks each day for these blessings.

Yet, with this increase in the number of mothers and babies, the need for support grows as well. We require additional provisions such as food, toiletries, and funds to meet the rising expenses and house maintenance demands. We are in need of more staff, volunteers, prayers, and individuals willing to contribute their time, skills, and resources.

This is a call to action for all who are able and willing to lend a hand. Whether it's through committing to regular donations to support the needs of these mothers and babies, or offering your time and expertise in areas such as maintenance, childcare, meal preparation, or skills training – now is the time to step forward and make a difference.

Good Counsel's homes primarily serve the communities of New York and New Jersey, supporting women and children who are our neighbors in every sense of the word. As our founder, Chris Bell, often emphasizes, "We always have room at the inn. We never turn away a mom in need." Additionally, we extend our services nationwide, providing counseling and care for mothers seeking assistance, ensuring that no call for help goes unanswered.

To those beyond the NY/NJ area, I urge you to remember that these women and children are our neighbors too. As a response to the challenges posed by abortion, Good Counsel stands as a beacon of healing and hope, not only for America but also for communities worldwide. Supporting the mothers and babies under our care means supporting our mission – to champion the sanctity of life and actively uphold the dignity of motherhood.

Let us not merely rally against abortion; let us actively embrace and support the journey of motherhood. Together, we have the power to transform hearts and minds, one mother at a time.
