All of the Good Counsel homes were bustling on Thanksgiving Day with a whole lot of cooking, decorating, staff, volunteers, moms, babies, children, and visitors!  The day was filled with love and faith.  We are thankful for the generous financial and prayerful support of the Good Counsel family without whom our door could not be open for any homeless, pregnant mother in need.  Enjoy the smiling faces you helped to bring about!

House Manager of the Riverside home, Dominque, was eager to report, “Changed Live Ministries came to be a blessing to Good Counsel for a second year. The leadership and pastors came together to provide dinner and desserts for our moms and babies, so they could have a filling meal and share some love amongst one another.  The ladies had turkey & gravy, mashed potato, string beans, stuffing, baked Mac & cheese, dinner rolls, ice cream, peach bread pudding, apple & sweet potato pie. Before eating the pastors always gather the moms and children in the chapel, to just have some word of wisdom and understanding about Jesus Christ."

Riverside Case Manager, Omayra, wanted to share a few pictures of the exciting Thanksgiving their moms and children had. She said, “Everyone was happy, full, and grateful for this special occasion.”

Vincia, Resident Advisor, said “we at the Bronx House had a fabulous day giving thanks and enjoyed the company of each other. Happy Thanksgiving to All!”

On Thanksgiving Day and every day, “Give thanks to the LORD, who is good, whose love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34.
