Here at Good Counsel, we always look forward to our own “Baby New Year.”  The birth of the first baby in a new year gives us pause to reflect on the good work we have done in the past year and provides inspiration to continue working hard to aid the least among us, homeless, pregnant mothers with no where else to turn – until they turn to Good Counsel!

We had to wait until January 12, 2018 for our Baby New Year.  God must have big expectations for our work in 2018 because He provided three times the inspiration – on January 12, 2018, Good Counsel was blessed with not one, not two, but three new babies!

The drama was building throughout the day and then Baby Girl Zakhia was the first to arrive at 5:05 pm.  She was 19 inches long and weighed 6 pounds, 13.5 ounces.

Next up was Baby Boy Isaiah who made his entrance at 6:00 pm weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces.  We rejoiced over the gifts of a healthy girl and boy to start the new year off!

But, just to make things a little more exciting, Baby Girl Journee journeyed her way into the world at 7:19 pm.  She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20.75 inches long.  At press time, all three blessings and their brave moms are doing great!

These three beautiful lives were saved because of you!  Zakhia, Isaiah, and Journee were saved because of your faithful, prayerful support, and financial generosity.  Because of you, we never say no to any homeless, pregnant mother in need.  We remain grateful to serve the poorest of the poor providing a stable, homey environment, where guidance and comfort can be given, and love can be lavished.

Thank you for your boundless support in 2017, and we pray you accompany us in 2018!
